Activision has published a report on the work of the RICOCHET team aimed at combating cheaters in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific:
— According to the company's internal data, after the worldwide launch of the RICOCHET anti-cheat system, the number of cheaters in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific decreased significantly, and during the Christmas holidays their numerical value reached record lows.
— Nevertheless, the developers admitted that recently there has been a massive increase in dishonest players in "Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific". Of course, at the moment their number is not at such a high level as it was at a certain period of time on the Verdansk'84 map, but their presence still causes discomfort to ordinary players. According to representatives of Activision, anti-cheat is not a panacea, so the developers in their blog insist that players send complaints to them when they detect cheaters.
- A new way of dealing with cheaters in real time called "Damage shield" has been added to the anti-cheat "RICOCHET", which was previously tested in some regions. The principle of its operation is that the server, when it detects software from a player, disables the ability to cause damage to other participants in the match. This method is presented in the attached video below.
The developers reported that they plan to continue to introduce new ways to combat cheaters, which will directly affect the quality of the game.
